Warrior Taekwon-Do Tournament Liaison

The Tournament Liaison helps encourage, organise, and support Warrior members involved in ITKD tournaments and events. This role focuses on communication, coordination, and creating a positive tournament experience for competitors, families, and supporters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate upcoming ITKD tournaments, events, and umpire courses to Warrior members and families.

  • Help members understand which tournaments are suitable for their age, rank, and experience level.

  • Encourage participation and answer general questions about tournament involvement.

  • Direct members to Rachel for assistance with registrations and completing entries where needed.

  • Promote involvement opportunities for senior members and parents, including umpiring, ring marshalling, equipment set-up and pack down, and other volunteer roles.

  • Work closely together with any Tournament Team Leaders appointed for specific events.

  • Coordinate Warrior tournament equipment such as head guards and other gear before events, transport equipment to tournaments, loan gear to members as needed, keep track of equipment, and help maintain it in good condition.

  • At tournaments, help establish a central Warrior meeting area and assist in gathering and organising members.

  • Help ensure competitors have a “Second” and are supported throughout the event.

  • Direct injured or unwell members to First Aid when required.

  • Where possible, upload tournament photos and updates to the Warrior Club Group and the Warrior Taekwon-Do public Facebook page.

  • After tournaments, provide constructive feedback and debrief information to instructors and staff to help improve future events and member experiences.

  • Help build a positive, supportive, and well-organised tournament culture within Warrior Taekwon-Do.
